Photographing the abandoned Point Reyes shipwreck in Inverness , CA and eating way too many oysters at the Hog Island Oyster Farm across the bay in Marshall.

The Point Reyes shipwreck is an abandoned boat in the town of Inverness just outside of Point Reyes Station.

There isn’t much of a backstory to the boat, other than it’s just someone’s old fishing boat that ran aground, and now it’s one of those ‘must visit’ photography locations in Northern California.

Don't let the No Trespassing signs scare you, those are for the business located behind the boat, the trail is on public land.

I like oysters but Darby LOVES them, so a visit out to the Hog Island Oyster Farm in Marshall, on Tomales Bay was a mandatory stop on our way to Napa. — with Darby Aldaco.

Located at the front entrance of Hog Island Oyster Farm is "The Hog Shack". Here they sell their own freshly harvested oysters and shellfish, complimented with seasonal varieties purchased direct from other growers.

All oysters and shellfish are sold live and unshucked. The Hog Shack is open daily, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Darby bought a shit load of them for us to eat on our camping nights. Unfortunately we had to throw most of them away but they sure were tasty that first night next to our camp fire.
