Founded in 1964 by a group of local philanthropists and scientists, the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center is probably most recognizable by the giant mammoth sculpture on the hills over the property.
The Discovery Center, founded in 1964, is located on 82-acres at the base of the Jurupa Mountains.
The rustic complex is home to about 22 life-size dinosaurs made of steel or fiberglass that the dot the trails and hillsides of the property.
A museum houses a 5-foot, 5-inch Columbian mammoth tusk found in Mira Loma and more than 80 fossilized dinosaur eggs that were found in Henan province in China.
Trails? They’ve got trails.
It gets biblical and shit.
